TS2 strike height location / adjustable hosel

Quick question for the Titleist fitters. I recently purchased a 11.5 TS2 Driver. I currently have the hosel set in A1. My strike location is dead center, but 1/4-1/2 inch high on the face. My miss is a neutral path with slightly closed face. I've played with tee height but I still get the same result. If I lower the tee, my attack angle just gets lower and I still get the resulting slightly high strike. My goal would be to keep my attack angle in the 2+ range but lower the strike to just slightly above center. Is there a lie setting that I should start with that would potentially bring the strike location down slightly? I would guess bringing the toe up would raise the face, but also encourage a more left path, which is obviously what I would like to avoid. Any thoughts on how to fit for strike height through the hosel adjustment system would be greatly appreciated.

I had a set of DCI's for the longest time, the were 1/2 longer with Dynamic Gold s300 shafts from the factory.. I hit them well for a hacker. If i get the 918 AP1 irons what shaft matches what I had?

915D2 to TS2

I'm curious if anyone has switched from the 915D2 to a TS2 and if so did you order your TS2 in the same loft (and configure with the same settings)? It appears that the Titleist Thursdays have ended in my area so I wasn't able to do a fitting.

i am looking to get a different shaft for my 915 driver. I have the red high launch Diamana 60gr shaft now. I'm down to a 6 hcp, but I feel I'm losing distance due to high launch and little roll out. Though I love using it in cold wet weather because I usually outdrive my buddies. I'm able to work the ball right or left when needed and want to continue to be able to..Whats the best shaft or your recommendation?

I have the Fujikura Motore Speeder VC 7.2 tour spec X in my new TS3 driver and the 8.2 tour spec X in my 917 f3 3 wood.

These are both low launch and low-mid spin.

Shaft Flex??

Hey all - Did my final fitting before placing my order. Average club head speed is 85+. With a high ball flight due to swing angle (which will be adjusted with a few lessons this off season) the fitter suggested going with X shafts even though I'm on the boarder of S/X.

From my understanding and as a general rule, I thought you want to be in the softest shaft you can control. if I was controlling both relatively the same - what would be your thoughts on this moving forward.

Do some research, over the last 5-8 years the radial quality of the top manufactures golf shafts have tightened into the 98-99.8% range. Meaning, any premium shaft in any direction will produce the same bend profile at all points along the shaft. Its my understanding the the concept of Pureing is an antiquated process for graphite and composite shafts.

A PGA Teaching Professional, with whom I am acquainted, has recently suggested that I might benefit from Shaft Pureing my AP3s and TS2. There appears to be two distinct schools of thought on this add-on. The first contends that, by performing this process, the efficiency of the shafts will increase, leading to modest distance increases and noticeably more narrower shot dispersion. The second position is that the result is not worth the time or extra cost and was an opinion shared by Titleist in a January 2013 posting. Almost six years on, I'm curious if Titleist's opinion has changed and, if it has changed, are the benefits realized by those with higher club head speeds (105mph) and not by those moving the club decidedly slower (88mph)? Thanks.

New here. I know I'm going to get told a thousand times to get fitted, and I absolutely will as soon as I can, but here's my question/story. I'm 33, in good shape, and have a 95-105 swing speed. I hit my irons solid and far, but a mile high. I could hit the ball and make a sandwich and eat it before it lands. I'm sure my clubs are the reason. I'm hitting AP1 712's on a regular flex Tour AD65i shaft. I'm guessing that's way too soft and way too light. So a few days ago, I bought some AP2 716's on a Project X LZ 6.0 120g shaft. So it's essentially doubling the weight and moving up in stiffness. Will that make a huge difference? Did I go too stiff? Too heavy? I'm a 7-12 handicap with the AP1's. Any thoughts/advice/where I can get fitted would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'll never understand why people try to figure out these things for themselves. With all the professional help out there and available demo equipment and fitting tools, if you purchase by reading or talking to guys on the range, you're flying blind as far as i'm concerned, not to mention throwing $$$ out the window. I don't know if it's impatience or stubbornness but I don't think it's the smart way to buy golf equipment.

I could not wait and ordered a TS2 based on last shaft recommendation. Went to a PGAsuperstore to test. Actually lost 1 mph swingspeed but gained 8 yards. Clubhead speed was embarrassing. 95. Launch angle 17+ When will an opportunity to get fitted be in my area(29928)

I was fit for that shaft in AP1 716. I'm 68, with driver head speed in the mid 80's. So yes, you have the wrong shaft. You will see a difference, although the weight won't be as noticeable as you might expect. The weight is distributed along the entire shaft so the swing weight won't be a dramatic change.
Any recommendation on whether this is the correct shaft is purely a guess. Without too much expense, you could get the shafts changed on either set if you can find a better choice. Can you hit the new club to see if it is more of what you want to see for shot shape?
If you are in the US, if you can locate a Titleist Thursday, they can guide you. They tend to be prevalent in whatever constitutes late spring in your home area. The locations get posted on the titleist.com under club fitting.

The important question is which shaft will provide adequate launch angle - typically the Kuro Kage, Tensai Blue, or Diamana Red. After that, the flex in any of those shafts would be determined. These are the shafts for slower swing speeds. Getting the flex that works best with your dispersion pattern is the last step. For the price of a new driver, it is worth getting fit for the right shaft (and flex).

Golf shafts twist during the swing. The higher number is a greater rotation with the same force. A higher torque for a slower swing will help "snap" the head through the ball. With a higher swing speed, the head position will be unstable at the point of contact. It's not simply a function of club head speed. The quicker transition, the more torque gets applied by the golfer. That's why 2 golfers at the same club head speed may both use the same shaft for launch but different flexes based on differences in transition.

Sorry for your disappointment. Every fitting I've had done at expert Titleist fitters have always been professionally performed and to my satisfaction. Not every one has been with a Trackman but always with some electronic device to confirm the observations down range.

Recently won in the competition for the ultimate fit at Walton Heath Golf Club as part of the British Masters. And have to say was left disappointed. Fitting time was 8.30 and asked what club to try and I said the 718 ap1. Started hitting some balls but noticed track man wasn’t set up up and because some rain started to fall no one seemed Particularly interested. They finally got track man out with about 5 minutes left so wasn’t fitted at all. They then forgot to give us a goodie bag and only received one when I popped back because had left my umbrella behind. For something I was very much looking forward to was left very disappointed.
