Coincidentally, Mike was at the TT Invitational and this same trick that he gave to the group improved my issues with driver (I still need to improve my tempo). The problem with U-tube and on-line instructors there almost as many ways as there are online instructors to solve a slice. I've taken years correcting all my errors I taught my self. Arnold Palmer says to own your swing, but at least find an instructor that works with you and doesn't teach you "the one way to swing" to rebuild your swing. Worst money I ever spent was at a national chain that uses swing monitors and tried to teach me how to swing like a pro (at 68 I will never be that flexible again).

I had just started golfing it has been something I have wanted to do for a very long time and I finally got to make it happen. I have been golfing for less than a year and would like to know some tips from the Titleist family on getting a good straight drive like for example form follow through or some ways to practice and get a better drive I tend to have a slight slice when I drive.

Playing a golf can be hard at first, but with lessons it is more easy to drive. I agree too, it is never too late!

I started working with an instructor in August and we are revamping my swing step by step. Currently working on shortening my back swing and without a doubt, it is the hardest thing I have ever tried to do when it comes to golf. Every time I think I have it, I look at myself on video and realize I might have shortened it a fraction of what it should be.

Short put with break

Lately I find myself struggling with short putts (5-7 ft) that have quite a lot of break in it. I have a hard time of deciding whether to go hard and straight or slow with more break. Many times I am end up doing something in between and missing the put. How do you handle these putts?

At first I'm struggling of the way I grip. But having confidence on it can also make a difference. You can make it.

Hands are sweaty

Well, a piece of dry clothing will do. But the best solution there is wearing gloves. Buy the most durable gloves you can find.

Dreaded low hook off the tee

Does anyone have any advice? I am hitting my least favorite shot with the driver which is a hook that starts off right of the target line, then hooks with zero height.

My usual fundamental that I go back to is keeping my spine angle through impact, but nothing at this point is working. It's not a grip issue, if anything I have a tendency to revert back to a grip that is too weak in order to avoid the hook.

I have tried practicing with my feet together, but it's not translating to the course.

Hey a few random people ive played golf at local courses said to me i should go look for a professional trainer to help me to get better because ive been play for maybe a year now and ive just learn by watching YouTube videos and im shooting in the 80's my lowest score been 72 so they told me to get a real professional not one of the trainers that do clases at local golf course to find a good one to teach me how to improve my game and see wat im doing wrong they said with real help i could do something with golf kus ive been playing for less than a year and im real good ...the more i play the more i love the game if anybody could show me in the right direction were to get help i would appreciate it alot i would love to b a part of the titleist family

Family Golf: Take 1

For those of you that saw the video of me on TT, they focused on me as a family man. Yesterday I got to do something I was dying to do for 4 years now, take my wife and daughter out for her 1st round. I called Lyman Orchards and asked if I could take my 4 year old out for 9 holes to putt and chip around the green with us, and they allowed us to on the Apple 9 (a par 3/4 course they have on site). A HUGE THANK YOU THEM! We had a blast, and my daughter, Emma, knocked down a 20 foot putt, followed by dancing. After she asked if we could go to the practice green to putt around. We played for ice cream there on 3 putt challanges. My heart was full yesterday with thinking about playing into my old age with the wife and daughter.

Totally understand. Took lessons years ago and this was 1 of the things I had to change. Be patient, you will get it. Now sometimes I find myself not taking a big enough backswing.
